Okay, a little backstory for those of you just joining us. Edvige is André’s mother; she and her sister Sophia run a small restaurant in Palermo. Although not exactly wild about André’s marriage to Eddie, they have grudgingly come to accept that it’s as easy to love a rich man as a poor one. The two sisters are Romani — or, as more commonly known, Gypsies — which explains why they sometimes call André “Andreu”.
