  1. We just purchased one o’ these heaters; yes, in Florida, you DO sometimes need them. So I could really identify with this . . . now if only someone would bring me a biscuit avec de cidre chaud ‘-)

  2. As a retired librarian, I feel the urge to mention Louise Penny’s series about Armand Gamache. The stories (mysteries, but so much more!) take place in a little village in Montréal; I want to just climb right into the book and live in that village.

The only other series about which I feel similarly is Martha Grimes’ Inspector Jury mysteries (but so much more!), which take place in England.

      • If you mean Louise Penny’s series, she has a new one out, ‘Kingdom of the Blind’. If you, or anyone reading this, wants to read them in order (I HIGHLY recommend doing so), this is the correct order: Still Life, A Fatal Grace/Dead Cold (same book, different title), The Cruelest Month, A Rule Against Murder/The Murder Stone (same book, different title), The Brutal Telling, Bury Your Dead, A Trick of the Light, The Beautiful Mystery, How the Light Gets In, The Long Way Home, The Nature of the Beast, A Great Reckoning. Glass Houses, Kingdom of the Blind

Her books will transport you to a place much like Doc & Raider’s virtual environment.
