Strange but true piece of historical trivia: Henry Ford and Thomas Edison were lifelong best friends. They went camping together, even bought houses next to each other in Florida. When Edison realized he was dying, he gave Ford (if you can believe this) a test tube containing his final breath. That weirdness aside, in later years, Edison was confined to a wheelchair, so Ford got one as well, and the two of them had wheelchair races on the Florida beaches.

What a recklessly cool thought….
