If I thought I was going to live long enough, it would be fun to watch these kids’ relationship develop over the decades. As it is, we’ll get a glimpse of it later on, when Eddie has the talk with Elliot and Gilles about Raymond’s future (a storyline coming later in the spring). And of course, as usual, this storyline went far and away from its original intent, but it went to a slightly more interesting, if somewhat melancholy, place.

Two storylines in a row about the hand Fate can have in shaping our lives… all the more reason to move on to something a little lighter in tone and bringing back onstage a trio of characters who’re no doubt feeling slightly abandoned at this point, I’m sure. But this place could use a little mindless silliness for a while, and those three are just the ones to provide it.
