It’s odd, the things that will inspire a storyline. This one came from a newsbit about a Unitarian church that wanted to put solar panels on the roof, was told they couldnt by the local municipal government, and then sued, claiming (with justification) that the city’s action was in violation of their religious freedom.

But it’s also the strip’s 30th anniversary, something I didnt really think about until this morning when I looked back at all the changes made, especially in the last decade, and how horrifying this would be were this a gated community where people are arrested for having clotheslines in their back yards…
