America!

With all the discussion about race these days in the US, folks seem determined to forget that skin tone and racial features comprise less than 0.1% of our overall DNA. It’s almost like the other 99.9% doesnt really matter by comparison, that instead we should throwing those differences out there instead of the similarities that make us all human.

Maybe it comes from “being of a certain age”, but I gotta tell you: I’m over this bullshit. If you dont want to like someone just because of skin colour, then, hon, you got more issues than I can deal with in a webcomic. And if you think you’re superior to someone else — for whatever reason — because of your skin colour, then you *really* got some issues to deal with. But as with any addiction, it’s gonna first take admitting you have a problem… and I dont see a lot of people anywhere doing that. Maybe we all just think that the tissue paper wrapping is what makes us *special* and not the quality of the gift inside.

Tomorrow: a new storyline, taking us across the Pond, as it were. Hope you enjoy it.
